At this meeting the Brownstown Township Board approved these resolutions, requests and reports.

Resolution 1-2022: The Brownstown Township Board resolves to accept a request from Premier Companies CEO Harold Cooper to survey the approximate 0.10 acre cemetery plot on their Brownstown Indiana business property described as PT SE 14.123 A in Jackson County Indiana.  Premier Companies will then donate the cemetery plot and public access to Brownstown Township. This cemetery plot will be recorded as public property of Brownstown Township and named Ewing Cemetery.

Resolution 2-2022: The Brownstown Township Board resolves to sponsor a Brownstown High School History Student in a school to work program at the Jackson County History Center.  The job will pay a current minimum wage for up to 12 hours per week. The objective is to update and record past and current township activities and help maintain the Brownstown Township Website.  Expenses will be paid from the General Fund budgeted item (3.) Other Services and Charges, (L.) Community Services*.

Resolution 3-2022: The Brownstown Township Board resolves to hire a Summer History Intern to help update some of the township cemetery records and help identify and restore some of the grave sites.  Expenses will be paid from the General Fund budgeted item (3.) Other Services and Charges, (L.) Community Services*

Survey Request to Jackson County Surveyor: a/ The Brownstown Township Board requests a survey and legal description for a 0.1 acre cemetery plot on the Premier Companies business property described as PT SE 14.123A in Jackson County Indiana. The historic cemetery plot will be donated to Brownstown Township for public access and be named Ewing Cemetery. b/ The Brownstown Township Board requests the unnamed property described as 36-54-11-200-002.000-002 on the Jackson County Indiana GIS map be surveyed and legally described as public property and named Brickyard Hill Cemetery.

At this meeting the Board also approved the Annual Financial Report, Year End Report, Salaries Report, and Nepotism Policies Repot.
